I hadn’t reflected on John Brown’s life for years. It was only driven by my spontaneous comment on Charles Carroll in Post 1 of 2. Many years ago, brother Mike asked me: “Was John Brown a villain , or a courageous hero.” So I opt for the later, a christian warrior that sacrificed his life so his brothers and sisters could be free, all through the grace of God and the Holy Spirit.” or “he believed and he obeyed;” going against his “comfortable”, “in the world but not of the world.”
