Continuing through 4:11: “whoever speaks as one who speaks oracles of God, whoever serves as one who serves by the strength that God supplies — in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Earlier this month, I shared with you about the Mattan – Now another realm to the mystery – a similar form of the word – Mattanah speaks of the sacrifice that was given to God, not by command but freely. Messiah, Himself was the Mattanah, the gift that was given freely. In Messiah, God didn’t just give something He had. According to John 10:18, He gave Himself freely. In the same way, Romans 12:1 tells you to present your body as a living sacrifice. Your life is to be a living mattanah – a freely given gift to God. Make your life a gift by becoming a freely giving person; give what you have, but most of all, give yourself. Live your life as if your life were a gift. Live as if you were God’s gift to the world – because in Messiah, that’s what you are to be. All your blessings come to you because of Him. He gave Himself as a gift to you. Go and do likewise – until your life becomes a mattanah for God.

From Message #1121 The Mattanah and the Kitoret
Scripture: 1 Peter 4:10

TODAY’S MISSION – Today, live your life as a gift from God and to God – make your life a mattanah.

God’s grace is not a souvenir.
If we’re all stewards of different gifts, what happens to the church when we only use them for ourselves?

Yes indeed brother1. So, we isolate ourselves within a narcissistic shell thereby exposing the body of Christ and ourselves to the Devil and His minions. They are like a pack of wolves. How do wolves attack sheep? They attack in packs against isolated sheep. And then we ask: “Why is the church so weak and inept? But if the body of Christ takes the hard road, binding together and working through constructive conflict , it is not easy. In fact, it involves some suffering. We avoid suffering, we want personal comfort so we end up trying to play both ends: Enjoying the frolic in the the world while we proclaim our faith and our eternal joyful destiny. That is so counter to God’s Word. Our calling : ” in the world but not of the world!” Jesus died for us, can we not suffer at least in a small way for Him and His glory? Not biblical but I am reflecting on: “If you want to know what a man values, witness where he spends his time, his walk, not his talk?”
