Comment: I recall many years ago an elderly immigrant from Eastern Europe, behind the Iron Curtain, pronounce: “You know, rich people get poorer under Socialism (“Communism”) , but poor people get poorer too!”
Tragically, it goes further than that though, as Dennis Prager summed up his differences in a debate with two pagan Marxist Berkeley students: “You two believe that man is basically good, no?” They both nodded in assurance. Bizarre: If man is basically good, then why did the system result in the genocide of over one-hundred million people, their “own” countrymen in the 20th century? Does anyone remember the “killing fields” in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979, right after the Khmer Rouge took over? ; 1.5 to 3 million people killed in mass genocide, in a country that only had 7.8 million people just before it started.
