The Jericho Actions And Your Life

Friday, August 28, 2026
If the Israelites believed they could win the battle against Jericho but sat back and did nothing about it, they never would have won. They had to put their faith into action for the walls of Jericho to come tumbling down. Thus, we need both faith and action. When the two come together, the results are miraculous. There is great power that only comes in faith-based actions – actions that come from faith. Faith-based actions are the things you would have never done if you didn’t believe in God. By faith, Noah built the ark. By faith, Moses was hidden at birth and went on to deliver the Israelites. By faith, Gideon conquered the Midianites. By faith, Paul overcame the Roman Empire. Faith without action is like a seed waiting to germinate, waiting to blossom, waiting to produce fruit for which it can not until it is planted, watered, and nurtured. Put your faith into action and let all your actions be led by faith. And you will see miracles, breakthroughs, and a life of victory that you long for; because faith in action equals victory.
From Message #855 – The Jericho Principle
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1
TODAY’S MISSION – Today, put your faith into action and let all your actions begin with faith. Set the stage for miracles!

Commentary – Your thoughts / Reflections?:
I’ll share what comes to mind for me, one of those mentioned by Jonathan in this devotion, even though it is far from the most prolific example as it first appears. But, it sure leads to a string of God driven miracles, as in: “I don’t have nearly enough faith to be an atheist!”:
It is “The Lord Calls Gideon”, Judges 6: 11-24. Notice!: “Then the Angel of the LORD appeared to him and said: “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.” (vs.12). Then , let’s take note of Gideon’s response: “He said to Him, “Please Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.”
Gideon can be excused for appearing so wimpy, no? And then, the LORD shows up to show off, so to speak, in “Gideon attacks the Midianites” (Judges 7:15-23). How is it that tiny Israel has survived history, let alone in Gideon’s time? With just 12 million people, as flawed as they are, how is it that seemingly the whole world right now wants to wipe them off the map, moreso than ever. (obvious answer: Satanic influence, it is the garden all over again…). Well, I can’t convey this strongly enough in mere words, but I’ll leave it as: “Well, the LORD has another plan! By God’s grace, I do surely believe!” Soli Deo Gloria!
With humor: I am thinking of what a favorite T-shirt of mine reads: “Normal is not coming back, Jesus is!” Hallelujah forevermore!
“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.’ Luke 12:48. So let’s seize this closing window of opportunity: Witness to lost souls like there is no tomorrow! And pray for them continually! Do we really believe what we say we believe is really true!
“Closing window”? : Zechariah 12:3 noted yesterday in my post 2 of 2, just one example. The signs are there and then some…
