My father was catholic , my mother was lutheran. Growing up in Chicago through 1966, I can still remember watching these lectures / sermons on our old black and white television. What a wide range of gifts that he was blessed: scholar, educator, orator and evangelist as noted in the article below. The fruit was manifested through steadfast discipline to maximize the service to fellow souls. And duly noted also in this article: He faithfully kept his daily one hour private prayer vigil from his ordination up until his death in 1997.
