11/25/2020 – Day 192 – 2 Kings 6 – 10 – “Retrieving the Ax Head”

Footnote to 6: 4-7: “The axe of the Law has been lost from the hand of the Church for many years. Take it firmly in your hand and lay it at the root of the tree of sin. Never be afraid to lift its sharp balade and threaten the sinner with its holy precepts. Its purpose is to bring him to the foot of the cross. Paul called it a ‘tutor to bring us to Christ’ (See Galations 3:24).”

As I have shared on one discussion amongst our men’s bible study group at work: “When I look at my sin, do I think: 1) I messed up, or, 2) I grieved the Holy Spirit!”

We hear: “All Religions are Basically the Same.” That is just wrong, Christianity is unique in its foundational tenet that it is utterly impossible to make it heaven on our own effort. Islam and Hindu believe you climb the ladder to salvation in order to reach God, so to speak. Buddhism , is basically atheist at its core.
