Changing The Plus Into Times

Monday, January 20, 2025

God is one God, He exists as one, and yet He exists as three. 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. So, how can three be one? The Father, the Son, and the Spirit do not exist independently of each other, but rather each exists by the other. In mathematics, the word “by” is represented not by the + sign, but by the x sign. So to see the mystery, you need to change the equation to: 1 x 1 x 1. And what does that add up to? One. Most believers relate to God with the mathematical mistake of adding; God plus them – two separate lives living side by side. But the Bible speaks of living in the Lord, by the Lord, through the Lord, and He with you and through you. The secret of living victoriously is to change the plus sign into a times sign. Don’t live next to God, live through Him and He through you. Exist by His existence, live by His life, move in His moving, and love by His love. The two shall become one. How? Not by 1 plus 1, but 1 times 1… equals 1!

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, though whom are all things, and we through Him.” (1 Corinthians 8:6.)

For me, I am reflecting on the connection to Jesus’ prayer in the garden, a prayer for all believers. John 17: 20 – 26. (Whoa!)

“One (ECHad), the Ancient Hebrew Meaning” – link below:

“Text of the Shema Prayer in Hebrew and in English”

“Hear, O Israel, the L-rd is our G‑d, the L-rd is One.”

See Deuteronomy 6: 4-15:

No, the Jewish people did not recognize the Triune God up to Jesus’ time here on earth. But, take notice, Messianic Jews are proliferating in our world today under our very noses, just one example is Jonathan Cahn who writes this devotional. It is happening in Israel itself.

Question: As a Christian, can I recite the Shema prayer and not be heretical?

Soli Deo Gloria!
