I am going to provide chapter summary commentary once again, for the interplay of key players is intense:

Check out this commentary on 26: 22-23 from “The Apologetics Study Bible”: “Paul insisted his message of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection did not go beyond what was found within the OT itself. He probably had in mind passage such as Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12.”

This section in Isaiah is titled: “The Servant’s Suffering and Exaltation”. Paul makes a good argument here: The prophesied Messiah was show in the Old Testament was both a “Suffering Servant” and a “Conquering King”. Of course, the Jews focused the later and ignored the former. And so would we if we had been in their shoes.

Soli Deo Gloria!
