On the lesser scale, I can’t measure hearts. I have sensed a veiled anti-semitism in numerous conversations with loved ones the past year. In each case I was taken aback. The one that really floored me was: “Maybe Trump can keep Israel under control ! ” (Thinking: “How about Iran, Hamas and the Houthis? Or Muslim Terrorist infiltration into university administrations? Does that concern you at all?”) You would think it would let up after “Oct 7th”, but it seems to be increasing.
Part II – What does our Lord Almighty say? So, I have compiled the story through bible verses.
Part III – It is hard to find any news source from this world today that is reliable. So, I appreciate PragerU videos all the more. I am a list of links that interviews the people on the ground, consisting mostly of Israeli Arab citizens, two of whom have proudly served in the IDF. (Israeli Defense Force). I am getting the distinct impression that not many Americans know this but 20% of Israeli citizenry is Arab. These are power-packed testimonies running 5 to 10 minutes for the most part. I have three historical accounts of the wars where Israel was “surprise attacked” from all sides: 1948, 1967, 1973. How many of our young people on campus, “demonstrating” on campus with their Palestinian flags, have even a vague notion of this history? Or a sense of : 1) living in a country the size of New Jersey that gets a barrage of missiles launched towards them on an ongoing basis going back years.; 2) or, worse, October 7, 2023: 4,300 rockets launched, 1,195 people killed, 250 taken hostage to the Gaza Strip, 7,000 participants including Palestinian civilians crossing the border.

I submit that the two illustrations below are critical to a christian worldview:

Perhaps the country on the worst of the scale: Stated goal of wiping the Jews off the planet – the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the “Nezam”. But please, let’s not lump the people of Iran with “the evil Islamic fanaticism government theocracy minions of the devil” in one broad stroke. Arguably, the fastest growing christian church in the world is in Iran the past few years. There are reports that christians now number 1,000,000 souls! They risk their lives witnessing in the streets. The mosques are empty.
FAI ministry approximately 7 (?) years ago rendevouzed with the leaders of the Iranian church in Indonesia. Why there? It is a Muslim country and would not be suspected as much by the Iranian authorities. They note in the movie documentary link below their big shock: They all expressed a love for the nation of Israel. Think about that: They had been indoctrinated from early childhood to hate Israel. They had no memory of “pre- Ayatollah Khomeini”. I submit that is a miracle from the Lord, it can only be Holy Spirit driven. It’s a two hour investment, but I highly recommend this movie, it is both inspiring and convicting, as in “they are risking their lives daily”, “What am I doing?” (only 3,800 verses but the comments are rich)

But Praise God, it is not about the messenger, he is saved by His grace!
