All of these happen to be footnoted in my Evidence Bible by verse. Once, again, of the numerous times I have read through His Word, I had not checked these out before. It doesn’t matter how many times, you always grow from it, the sanctification process that doesn’t end until our last breath….

4: 9, 10: “These are the inner workings of a genuinely repentant heart — lamenting, mourning, weeping (contribution), heaviness, and humility. These are the ones the Lord lifts up. (See Psalm 147:6) (and how many times have we read through a similar passage of exhortation?) Source Unknown

4:12: ” Teachings of the Bible are so interwoven and entwined with our whole civic and social life that it would be literally — I do not mean figuratively, I mean literally —— impossible for us to figure to ourselves what life would be if these teachings were removed.” – Theodore Roosevelt

4:14: “If there was one chance in a million that Jesus Christ ‘has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, you owe it to your good sense to look into it.” (source unknown) – See 2 Timothy 1:10

4: 17: “To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards out of men.” Abraham Lincoln (Jimmy note: I am going to be increasingly aware of my sins of “omission”, not just “commission” , by God’s grace. For there are mortal sins there as well that would grieve the Holy Spirit as well…..)

5:16: “Prayer is the honest thoughts of the heart and mind converted into a form of communication, either verbal or mental, directed toward God.” Emeal Zwayne

Soli Deo Gloria indeed!
