01/22/2026 – “French Revolution’s “liberté, égalité, fraternité” became Reign of Terror.”
Best-selling author Os Guinness stated in an interview with Dr. Albert Mohler, (Thinking in Public, June 5, 2017):
“The culture war now at its deepest roots is actually a clash between 1776, what was the American Revolution, and 1789 and heirs of the French Revolution.”
I submit that the old saying rings truth over and over again: “Those who are ignorant of history are destined to repeat it.”

The devil is not a marxist, he just keeps using it as a tool for his evil reign of terror. I keep thinking of Dennis Prager’s debate with two Marxist students on the campus of Cal-Berkeley, amidst a hostile crowd of students. At the end, in a calm voice, Prager noted: I think I can capsulize our differences into one sentence: Do you in fact believe that man is basically good?” Both students nodded in approval. Dennis just concluded with: “There you have it!”
Lenin proclaimed: “Peace, Land, Bread!” Man is basically good but the 20th century mass slaughter exceeded 100 million+ souls.
And as a final note: France has still not recovered from the French Revolution 250 years ago. For Christians, it should be intuitively obvious that turning your back on God has inevitable horrific consequences, be it an individual soul or an entire country. And just after being blessed by so much, this is why we study the book of Ezekiel for 13 weeks. The fear of the Lord should come over us.
