05/23/2021 – Parkside Church sermon – Hosea 1-7: “Repenting of Our Phony Repentence” – Day 237
And, I listened to this one just now, as this Sunday evening service is not live streamed like the previous sermon was – the 8:45 am cdt live stream worship service. But this is an example of how Old Testatment connects with New Testatment – the themes overlap each other significantly even though in history they are 800 years apart.
I will repeat here one of my paragraph comments on our day 237 bible study over four months ago on this same bible passage:
A Call to Repentance: Check out 6:1-2: “Come, and let us Return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.“Brothers, we are talking 8th century B.C. here, just before the fall of the northern kingdom to Assyria. Hosea is one of the oldest books of the Bible.
