Scripture reference: 2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; but the one now restraining will do so until he is out of the way, and then the lawless one will be revealed.” I am noting my footnote to 1: 7-9 on the same page: “Essentially, hell is separation from God’s presence. For those who refuse God’s grace and influence in their lives, He gives them what they want – no experience of God.

Humans without the indwelling Holy Spirit, however, are slaves to the world’s values and its false wisdom (1 Corinthians 3:19Galatians 4:3).

I can remember watching Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s “Life is Worth Living” weekly syndicated TV show which ran live 1951 through 1957 as a young boy. He is a warrior for Christ. He combined the gifts of theologian with that of a personable preacher. And secondarily, you will see that here in his opening, he had a sharp wit. Upon his ordination in 1919 in the Diocese of Peoria, Ill, he promised to make a daily Eucharistic Holy Hour, a promise he would keep.

It is not about the preacher. One of numerous books written by Archbishop Sheen was titled: “The Priest is Not His Own”. I hope you take the time to listen to this 37 minutes sermon on the Devil. You will note that he speaks to the coming age of the Devil , 50 years from 100 years forward. We see here the signs that we are there now. The remnant Church will never be defeated. “Maranatha!” Soli Deo Gloria!

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
