Mission to His glory: To build a network of thriving Christian remnant communities in the midst of an evil and hostile world.
Funny, the good Lord is pushing me to post a commentary on yesterday’s reading that completed Isaiah. But, here at 4:35 in the morning, he is also directing me to post this vision, at least a seed with many seeds that will soon be sprouting up soon. We just need to transplant them to God’s garden so that we may combine into an impregnable remnant force in a fallen world. .
I am praying as I am writing, a prayer: “Lord, you are all we got!” But, by your grace, we are assurred that you are indeed “all we need”! That’s a “duh!” Jimmy! We just have to ensure we do not allow ourselves to veer off the path, even for a moment, for it is toxic.
Nancy had another facebook witness to a self professed christian loved one a few days ago on how support of abortion is not compatible with calling yourself a christian. Yes, you never stop praying but you reach a point where you dust off your sandals and move on. This blog and this post is not for those either that need an explanation of why we need to engage and battle an evil world, and not just sit back by default waiting for the rapture.
Politics is not our savior. If Trump gets elected , we will perhaps buy some time. But paradoxically, we may fall into the trap of a notion that government can see us through. Just take a look at the our national debt clock. This is not a political problem, it is a human heart problem. Think of it, how is it that we are still subsidizing Planned Parenthood with a republican in the white house and control of the Senate? Do you refuse to fund a government in such circumstances. I say absolutely!
We are staring at a global financial meltdown in our lifetime. God has promised that His remnant Church will never be defeated. We were born for this time and we are His stewards. So, our mission is to build remnant Christian communities throughout the world, then connect them all up. Think of Rome after the fall. Look at what the monk communities accomplished by God’s grace and through prayer.
So, let’s begin the process of building as a network of special forces warrior base camps. We build them as self supporting and simple, off the grid and with water wells if possible. No combines on the community farm. lol Built for our future world, not our past world. Practically, many of these will develop, as they have already, as extended family networks. (If for no other reason, grandparents have to be near their grandkids) We bring in the destitute ; God will provide. Then we connect up with a communication network, prayer first then physical, that will reinforce a single community at a moment’s notice if necessary to meet an outside threat.
I recall fondly a visit with a Mennonite community in SW Virginia a few years ago. I really do respect their pacifist position. We are brothers and sisters in Christ but as for me and my household, we are not pacifists.
A couple weeks ago, I sent out an email on HR 6666, the pagan Marxist attempt to control the masses. If you don’t get your Covid vaccination with your little tracking chip, and you want to buy food at the grocery store…. We see Big tech aligned with the world’s evil. If we wait like sheep , wondering if in fact they will take advantage of Christians, then we have effectively submitted to the devil and his minions. And no, I don’t think HR 6666 will pass in the near term, but that is not the point.
Always connected through grace and prayer! Blessings to your Sunday. I look forward once again to Alistair’s live streaming sermon on Samuel – Ch 25/26. We hopefully will get back soon with our Towne North PCA church community physically here soon. In all likelihood, we probably don’t have alot of time left in Dallas metro but we will seek to stay connected even if we are separated by distance. And back to my Isaiah post as well today for He is calling me to stick with my posts. It is “messy” but so will be the building of connected Christian remnant community base camps. So, was the rebuilding of the walls with the return of the remnant exiled community from Babylon. (postscript to Isaiah) We most assuredly win in the end by His grace but we must fight until that time.
I can begin to see why God is pushing me to stay with this blog, lacking any visible results. But I don’t need know why. Just obey.
E Pluribus Unum! (“out of many, one”. St Augustine used this term in 397 – 398 a.d. in his work – “Confessions” – Book IV) Soli Deo Gloria!
Love,
Jimmy
p.s. – I was encouraged about the town of Fort Collins, Colorado engaging Antifa in a short physical battle that expelled them from the scene. As one warrior shouted : “You picked the wrong town!” I didn’t see many pacifists in that group.
