10/28/2021 – Praise Prayer to share Re: Another medical miracle that won’t be reported in the media.
For context, our daughter, a contract I.C.U nurse, had shared this prayer request for a patient earlier this week early in a day break visit with us. She came back with a Praise Prayer request last night as her shift concluded on her first day back. Soli Deo Gloria!
Remember the prayer acronym: “ACTS” – “Adoration / Confession / Thanks / Supplication” We need to ensure we remember the “A” and the “T to go with the “S”. A single prayer request transitions over time to less “S” to more “A” and “T”. In this case, the “S” had suddently hit -0-! In Jesus’ words – See Matthew 17:20 Re: “faith as a mustard seed…, moving mountains.” Do we really believe what we say believe is really true?
Do y’all remember me telling you about the young patient I had that was at the gun range in (name of town deleted) on a church retreat and had a massive heart attack and the doctors told his wife on my shift that he was brain dead…. My whole shift I watched as his pastor/best friend just sat in the room and prayed over him. The whole time. Never moved a muscle. Usually visitors in the hospital ask for at least one thing… a drink of water, etc. he never asked for anything. He just sat there and prayed. For 12 hours. When the doctors told his wife that his brain injury was catastrophic she just smiled and responded well I believe in a miracle working God….. He’s got a long road to go but he’s definitely NOT brain dead. I walked in today shocked to see he was still there….alive. He was smiling and high five’ing nurses. How easy is it to forget… But OUR GOD IS STILL A GOD OF MIRACLES  Makes me tear up. Just wanted to share. Today was a good day |
