I pulled it in from Prime Video. It runs about 90 action packed minutes. The scenes are filmed by a father and son journalist / embedded camera man team. That in itself touches the heart strings as Mike Boetcher, the father had 30+ years of embedded combat experience. To the point of this film, there were 22 American journalist combat deaths in the Afghanisthan war. Mike’s son Carlos comes along , with no prior experience to see “what was it that pulled Dad away from the family all those years.” The bravery of the troops under heavy fire , while desperately seeking a landing from a medivac chopper so the wounded can be flown off the field of battle, is beyond belief.

Prayers for those families that lost young warriors in Afghanistan..

Also, speaking of warriors: We had a new guy, Larry, show up in our tuesday 6:00 am bible study a few weeks ago! He introduced himself as a “snowbird from Wisconsin” haha Larry had 20+ years service with the Marine Corps spanning from Vietnam to the Gulf War. He has dedicated much of his Christian life to helping combat vets to live through PTSD, which he himself has suffered from. He gave me the book: “Tears of a Warrior – A Family’s Story of Combat and Living with PTSD” by a married couple, Anthony and Janet Seahorn. Anthony was a young Army officer in Vietnam, who served with the Dautless Black Lions of the 1st Infantry Division. Thanks Larry!

Always connected by His grace and through prayer…

Semper Fi ; Soli Deo Gloria!
