Quick FYI: “Ezra was the great grandson of Hilkiah the priest, who, 160 years earlier had directed king Josiah’s reformation (Ezra 1:1; II Kings 22:8); a most worthy descendant of his famous ancestor. He went from Babylon to Jerusalem (457 B.C.); 80 years after the Jews had first returned, and 13 years before Nehemiah came.” (Source; Halley’s Bible Handbook)

So, this Ezra 7:27 -30 is between four and five centuries before the birth of Yeshua, the Christ. Just one fulfilled prophecy amonst so many in the Old Testament. But, I don’t hear many biblical detractors (future Christians) addressing this major flaw in their argument. As I have noted, the Bible is the most examined and attacked book in the history of man, no close 2nd places. And it will remain unscathed. Soli Deo Gloria!

“My Son, the Messiah”

Monday, March 21, 2022

Will DieI grew up with the knowledge that Jewish people do not believe in a Son of God, or in a Messiah who dies for our sins. Jewish people say, these two things are blasphemy. An ancient text, not written by Christians or believing Jews, found in the ancient Jewish book of Ezra 7:27-30, says, “My Son the Messiah shall die.” Messiah is the Son of God here. As it turns out, it is Jewish to believe in the Son of God, the Messiah, and that He will die. The first time the word love is used in the Bible is in Genesis 22, “Take Isaac your son, whom you love” God tells Abraham. The first picture of love is a father offering up his son. What is love? It’s God the Father offering up His most precious Son for you. God so loved you, He gave everything. So you need to do likewise. Love Him with a love that is so precious. Lift up your Isaac, your most precious thing into His hands; and like Abraham, you will be blessed. He gave all for you; you do the same for Him!From Message #804 – The Leper King
