06/17/2022 -Dennis Prager’s fireside chat – Episode 242 – “The Necessity of Fathers”
I would like to listen to more of Dennis Prager’s fireside chats. I have mentioned before he may still be a future Christian, a current devout Orthodox Jew, but I would submit he is one of the strongest Christian apologists that are in the faith community public eye. So, some brothers ask using one example: Jim, why are you recommending Jonathan Cahn as a messenger warrior? Oh yea, that would be a Messianic Jew, he is Christian! So, Dennis gets confused at one point, for he doesn’t recognize the Trinity as he distinguishes “God” (to us, the Father) from “Jesus”. Jesus is God so if we want to distinguish, it is God the Father and God the Son. And he has trouble understanding our call to unconditional love of fellow souls , not only family.
But, this presentation was once again very edifying. The uprfront presentation covers some special notes on our upcoming father’s day, and the father’s key role in the family, as God designed it. If you just can’t spend 35 minutes through this entire episode # 242 though, fast forwar to around 19 minutes where he answers the question from a young Texan, why does he say it is more to embrace God’s Necessity vs. God’s Existence. I submit it should make sense to current Christians as well. Or the key point: Now what once you have chosen. Embrace the consequences of why God matters otherwise it is all for naught. (example: The Devil’s and his minions believe in God’s existence)
The ending on saying “thank you” in different languages rings with practical truth and instant connections with a heretofore unknown fellow soul.
