07/03/2022 – Day 126 – 2 Corinthians 4 – 5// “Treasures in Jars of Clay” and “Our Heavenly Dwelling” / “Just as the beginning the earth was without form and void and in darkness (Gen 1:2), the understanding of the unregenerate man is darkened (Eph. 4:18). It is without form and void until God says, ‘Let there be light.’ ” // 1 of ?

The last quote came from my Evidence Bible footnote on verse 4:6.

Let’s look at 5:20 – 21, the last two verses in today’s reading: “…Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

And my Evidence Bible footnote for verse 21:

“Christians are continually trying to change their lives; but God calls us to experience the exchanged life. Christianity is not a self-improvement program. It isn’t a reformation project. It is resurrection! It is new life! And it is expressed in terms of a total exchange of identity. Jesus Christ identified Himself with us in our death in order that we might be identified with Him in his resurrection. We give Christ all that we were — spiritually dead, guilty sinners — and Christ gives us all that He is — resurrected life, forgiveness, righteousness, acceptance.” Bob George, Classic Christianity (See Galations 2:20.)

Soli Deo Gloria!
