I can play this music in the background as I am reading , be it the Bible or Christian book classics. Very calming and peaceful. Ditto for Gregorian chant.
The Nederlands Bach Society has been arouund for about a century now. I don’t recall posting any praise music that was almost 2 hours long before, perhaps Gregorian chant. The majority of Bach’s work was church music, most of which was meant for church services. This masterpiece, was meant to leave a legacy for the initials he would put on each production: S.D.G. , or Soli Deo Gloria! Enjoy!
