The Joy of the Nonexistent Harvest

Tuesday, December 13, 2022

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Jewish people rejoiced and gave thanks to God for the harvest He gave to them – the olive oil, wine, figs, dates, grain – everything. They’d gather in Jerusalem with palm branches, Hosannas, and all sorts of fruits that the Promised Land produced that year. What’s strange is that for two thousand years in exile from their land, Jewish people continued to celebrate their Harvest Feast, giving thanks for a harvest that didn’t exist. Every year on Sukkot, they’d wave palm branches, cry Hosanna, thank God for fruit they never saw, a harvest they never reaped, and blessings they never received. Seems crazy – but it’s not. After two thousand years of celebrating a nonexistent harvest, Jewish people were brought back to their land to again reap a harvest, to celebrate. That’s the way of joy and triumph in God. Celebrate the non- existent harvest. Praise God no matter what the conditions and you’ll triumph. For we haven’t only been blessed to receive unconditional love, but also unconditional joy.

From Message #1976 – The Mystery Days Of Zion I
Scripture: Psalm 34:1: (insert: “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”)

TODAY’S MISSION – Today, celebrate your victories and blessings in Messiah even before you see them. Praise Him the way through your harvest cycle today.
