It is not like I haven’t been thinking about enriching Socratic dialogue. But build it and they will come! I will not post my own reflections for at least a week. But it also occurs to me, if you want to use the same format on the next four fridays remaining in our Proverbs reading, please do! Or, even if you want to go back to day 005 – Proverbs – Chapter 1.

Proverbs – Chapters 23 & 24 – Day 257 – January 29, 2021

List the verses that strike you as you read them , noting them in their respective categories shown below.  And elaborate as the spirit leads you…  Just list the verse , your option whether or not you want to copy it down in the comment or trust that your fellow brothers will read the verse directly in their Bibles again.

Theme:

  1.  Verse(s) that have a common theme over the past 9 months, and Proverbs as well over the past fifteen fridays.  But perhaps they aren’t mentioned often enough, for it doesn’t seem like we are heeding them in the body of Christ.

II.     Verse(s) with a familiar theme, but somehow it grabbed you this time.

III. This verse(s) really was a “gotcha”, shedding new light for me, even if it does not cover such a broad area. (example: “fear of the Lord)

IV. Verse(s) you have repeated most often to your children and/or the verse(s) repeated by your parents to you growing up.

V. Anything else , not fitting a category..:
