Luke 6:26, spoken by Jesus: “Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets. Nehemiah was stern, demanding and compromising when it came to defending God’s law.
“He points out the downfall of Solomon by marrying foreign wives. in verse 25 it states “I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair.” I would argue that it was out of love.
