“Power is perfected in weakness.” What an amazing statement from the Lord! And all this time we thought power was perfected in success. We’ve been taught all our lives that it is achievement that makes us strong. No. A thousand times no! Those things make us proud and self-sufficient and independent. The painful thorns make us weak. But the good news is this: When we are weak, He pours His strength into us, which gives an entirely new perspective on pain and suffering, hardship and pressure.”

What an amazing reflection to start my Sunday!
Except I wasn’t as prompt to respond:)

How perplexing is it to say! “ Power is perfected in weakness”….
This is irony that the corrupted human mind cannot make out of.
Reminds me when God says in Isaiah 55:8-9 “…neither are your ways my ways”. Reflects a sense of authority. This is His world, it doesn’t have to make sense to us, but rather glorify him!
    Blessings!

Amen Brother! No worries on promptness. As noted, in any of our read through the Bible in a year program, we could have posted commentary and/or
questions on a particular day’s reading, and have someone around the world ask a question on that post weeks, months, or even years later. And a
fellowship link can be established within the one body in Christ, that heretofore were complete strangers.
But yea, it always goes back to the garden and original sin: everyone wants to be their own god in the flesh. From such a deluded evil perspective, it precludes
a repentance prayer to our Almighty, Holy Lord of all, our Creator, asking for His forgiveness, with a declaration that He is in fact LORD of all.
