06/18/2020: Day 18 reading-Psalms -Ch 6 – 8

Once again, let scripture testify to scripture! I laser focused this day on Ch 8 verse 4. In most commentaries I quick search: “man” refers to individual man while “son of man” refers to man in general. But interesting “son of man” connects with the human nature of Yeshua (Jesus) the Christ. Check out Hebrews 4: 14-16 for a dead on connection, even specifically referencing this verse in Psalm 8.

Let me share more connections in this contextsummary pulled from :

https://www.bibleref.com/Psalms/8/Psalm-8-4.html:

“Psalm 8: 3-9 parallels Genesis 2: 8-15 in which God provided abundantly for mankind and had given them dominion over all living creatures on the earth. Hebrews 2: 5-9 applies this part of Psalm 8 to Jesus. He became a real human being on our behalf, and after his death for our sins. He arose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God. Someday, He will sitt upon the throne of David and hold dominion over the whole earth. What Adam lost my sinning, Jeses has restored by suffering (1 Corinthians 15: 20-28)”

So why did God allow an imperfect creation what was created for perfection? Indeed, you have probably heard the argument appropriately noted that he could have created us as robots but then that wouldn’t be unfathomable love now, would it? And perhaps, His unfathomable love was demonstrated to us by putting His beloved son on the cross, so that we could live. Heaven is perfect, but it is a good thing it is eternal, because that is how long it will take to fathom God’s awesomeness. It will just keep growing from unfathomable to more unfathomable, even in our heavenly state. I will leave it there as we have a spiritual war to fight here until our last breath. Soli Deo Gloria!
