1. Think bout someone whom you believe has the gift of prophecy. Describe that person’s insights into life.
Jonathan Cahn, who authors one of my favorite devotionals that I post. In my own words, Jonathan has a gift for finding heretofore undiscovered biblical connections to prophecy into our modern times. I have read “The Harbinger” and “The Book of Mysteries” , to name two. The message of “The Harbinger”, post 9-11 was for Americans to repent and return to the Lord. The “Book of Mysteries” is on my short list of favorite daily devotionals.
2. List the benefits of each of these abilities:
Hindsight: Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat the sins of the past.
Foresight: Pray and march forward accordingly.
Insight: Pray and Study God’s Word! Deploy as a christian warrior from God’s blessings that shined a light on investigative connections of His truth that is unfathomable to most. “To whom much is given, much will be expected.” Luke 12:48
3. Describe someone who has been a watchman in your life and called you to repent and restore your relationship with God.
My dear cousin John, a best friend and brother in Christ: One striking example: In the middle of a baseball game he told me I wasn’t living according to my call to love my wife as Christ loved the church… If I shared the actual shared content , a common reaction amongst christian brothers would probably be: “Is that all !?!” But John embraced Luke 12:48 so he was appropriately calling for me to live up to my blessings!
4. In your own words how would you distinguish among regret, remorse and repentance.
Regret – Just a mere wish that a negative event, that was actually caused by my sin didn’t happen. / Remorse: Note to self: “I missed up!” or maybe even “I sinned” without a repentance prayer to Almighty God. / Repentance prayer – One on one with the Lord.
5. Describe a time when you struggled, as the Jews of Ezekiel’s day, with God’s fairness. When we all thought My Mom was in breast cancer remission , or healing, years after her double mastectomy. And then, the cancer came back with a vengeance and she died soon thereafter. I was 16 and my youngest brother 10. Praise God, the questioning didn’t last long!
6. Ezekiel’s preaching took on a kind of entertainment value. In our current culture, does the church have entertainment value? If so, how?
Not as I see it. I am just not on board when the worship feels like a rock concert.
7. What are the dangers or benefits of part of God’s business on the earth being seen as entertainment? A biblically based children’s play does not seem as entertainment to me, it is more on the order of our calling as parents in Deuteronomy 6. As the “rock concert” worship noted in #6 above, the danger is clear: This is NOT about me!!!
8. Describe your response to this quote: “The important thing at the judgment seat of Christ won’t be how much Bible we studied or learned, but how much we loved and obeyed.
9. If you had to make a short list of the sins of your national leaders, what would be the top three?
10. What words would you use to describe the peaceful state of the Ezekiel promised when Jesus comes back to reign?
Trust and obey! We can’t lose because God can’t lose! – Unfathomable sublime eternal joy!

Ooops ! – Missed #8 and #9
#8: 1 John 4:6 – “Love in Action” a theme repeated over and over again…
#9: National leaders take in not only our current President Trump, but his administration and Congress. Congress brings the curve way down. Overall, in America, we are still hanging onto at least a semblance of democracy , if not a respect for the law. We cannot measure hearts but actions from a sizable minority Congress leaves me wondering: Is your father the devil? I may rate President Trump as the best president in my adult lifetime over fifty years, on a relative scale. But the bar is extremely low. Prior to the election, Trump declared a position that the abortion issue should be left to the states. I am a huge proponent of the 10th amendment:of the constitution which states that anything not outlined specifically to the federal government, should be left to the states. But the constitution specifically declares that all men are created in the image of God and have the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. When does life begin? What does the Lord say about that? (See Jeremiah 1:5). So, a political compromise on God’s sovereignty over life?
