Praying the Bible – Wrap Up
I hope you have enjoyed the last five days of post “Praying the Bible” as we had a chance to watch videos of author Don Whitney explain his book by the same title. I’d encourage you to try this and see if it helps breathe new life into your prayer life. Today please watch one last video by Don Whitney where he explains six benefits of praying the Bible:
Did you catch his six reasons? I jotted down the following:
- Biblically shaped prayed
- Free from boring rut of praying the “same old things about the same old things”
- pray about new things
- more focused in prayer
- more God centered in prayer. Spend more time praising God instead of just bringing your list of requests.
- find that prayers become a real conversation with a real person.
As we wrap up, if you’d like to watch all five days of videos together you can do that here:
If you missed any of the days, I’d encourage you to go back and read the earlier posts and comment with your thoughts and experience.
Finally, please let a comment with your thoughts on this series, and how you can incorporate Praying the Bible in your daily life.
